If you have ever moved into a new home, you probably came across some items left behind from the previous owners. Generally, the items are meant for the garbage: old cleaning supplies or other junk.
A woman in Minnesota moved into her new Cape Cod style home in December and found a not-so dull surprise when remodeling the kitchen. After removing the baseboards in the floor, she came across letters and postcards from the early 1900s, along with 12 glass jars filled with gold dust.
Since the discovery was recent, it is unknown as to how much the gold is worth.
